Audiotraveller Henry Barchet spricht mit der chinesischen Künstlerin Dai Ying über ihre Installationen und Schriften, die auf der Future Fair in New York sowie in Solo-Ausstellungen in China und Deutschland präsentiert wurden.
Dai Ying wurde in einem kleinen Dorf bei Sichuan in China geboren. In der Episode erzählt sie von ihrer Verbindung zur chinesischen Kultur und Landschaft, die ihre Kunst tiefgehend prägen. Sie erläutert die Bedeutung der traditionellen Tuschemalerei in ihrem Werk und beschreibt ihre Erfahrung des Kulturschocks beim Umzug nach New York im Jahr 2011.
